1. About Are You A Good Neighbour
Are You A Good Neighbour is a UK-based community website. Our purpose is simple: to help neighbours connect with each other. We provide an online platform where people who need help with everyday tasks can connect with volunteers who are willing to offer help independently. We do not provide help, care, or services ourselves, and we are not a party to any arrangement made between users.

All help is arranged directly and independently between users.
3. Our pages and features
The website includes pages such as Home, How to Ask For Help, Members Task Request, Group Help, Contact, and Privacy Policy. Any guidance provided is general information only and does not create responsibility for individual arrangements.
4. Members and Volunteers
Members
Members are people looking for help. They sign up and pay a membership fee. The fee gives access to the platform only and does not pay for help or guarantee outcomes.
Volunteers
Volunteers sign up for free and offer help independently. Volunteers are not employees, representatives, or agents of Are You A Good Neighbour.
5. Membership fees
Membership fees pay for access to the website and its features only and do not include insurance, supervision, or responsibility for tasks or outcomes. Group subscriptions provide access to platform features only.
Members and volunteers do not pay to use the platform.
6. Responsibility and decision-making
All users are responsible for their own decisions and arrangements. We are not responsible for actions, damage, loss, injury, or disputes between users. Help requests are routed privately to individual volunteers based on location and task suitability.
Are You A Good Neighbour does not select, assign, or supervise volunteers.
7. Vulnerable users
We recognise that some users may be vulnerable. We do not provide care, safeguarding, or supervision, and users must decide whether the platform is suitable for them.
8. Safety and good practice
Any safety guidance provided is a suggestion only and does not remove personal responsibility.
9. No checks or vetting
We do not carry out background checks, verify identities, or guarantee information provided by users.
10. Content and behaviour
We reserve the right to remove content or suspend accounts where necessary.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by UK law, we are not liable for loss, damage, injury, or disputes arising from interactions between users. Nothing limits liability where it cannot legally be limited, including death or personal injury caused by negligence.
12. Changes
We may update the website and these terms from time to time. Continued use means acceptance of updated terms.

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

SAFEGUARDING & RESPONSIBILITY
Are You A Good Neighbour provides a platform only and does not provide care, supervision, safeguarding, or emergency services.
Groups are responsible for deciding whether the platform is suitable for their members and volunteers and for managing access within their group.
REQUEST ROUTING CLARIFICATION
Help requests are routed privately to individual volunteers based on location and task suitability.
Requests are not posted publicly and are not visible to other members or volunteers.
VOLUNTEER STATUS
Volunteers participate independently and are not employees, agents, or representatives of Are You A Good Neighbour.
LIABILITY LIMITATION (PLAIN ENGLISH)
All arrangements are made directly between members and volunteers.
Are You A Good Neighbour is not responsible for the outcome of any interaction or assistance provided.
